Work With Us
Open for Business is a charity representing 27 leading companies dedicated to making a difference for LGBTQ+ people around the world. We make the economic case for LGBTQ+ inclusion using data and research; and then activate this through our network of partners and programmes globally. We, and our coalition partners, believe that inclusive, diverse societies are better for business economic growth, and that this message in the right hands can change societies for the better.
In everything we do, we're proud of bringing the weight and expertise of the private sector behind the LGBTQ+ community globally, ensuring their advocacy efforts are supported by some of the largest organisations in the world. Open for Business has a small but agile global team. Although we are headquartered in the UK, our team currently spans from Mexico City to Geneva to Bangkok.
Our Values
At Open For Business, inclusion isn’t just a policy, it is our purpose. We advocate globally for the dismantling of discrimination because we know that inclusive diverse societies and workplaces thrive, and we hold ourselves to the exact same standard. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not just accept difference; we celebrate it, support it, and rely on it to drive our global mission.

Head of East Africa Programmes
Location: Remote, Kenya-based, with regular travel across East Africa as required. Candidates must have the right to work in Kenya.
We are recruiting a full-time, fixed-term Head of East Africa Programmes who will be tasked with overseeing the delivery of the second half of a six-year programme. Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) this is designed to build the economic case for LGBTQ+ inclusion in East Africa and promote business engagement in LGBTQ+ equality across the region (specifically in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda).
This role is based in the region and is expected to start in 2026 and will run until 31 March 2029, subject to funding and local employment law. This is an exciting, fast-paced role for a thinker and a doer: someone who can quickly orient themselves in a new portfolio, make sense of complex information, identify priorities, build strong relationships with activists and partners, including diplomatic missions and business leaders, and translate strategy into practical action.
